<p>According to the <a href="http://www.biom.net/5_element_theory.htm">5 Element Theory</a>, fall is associated with the metal element, which is in turn affiliated with the lung and large intestine. The lung and large intestine energies are peak during this time, acting to take in vital energy and release what is not needed. Imbalances in the metal element can result in excess mucus, allergies, cough, bronchitis, sinus and ear infections, asthma, skin problems, headaches, fatigue, gas, constipation and, diarrhea.</p>
<p>As the body slows down during autumn, any excess toxins that have accumulated in the system over the more active summer months will now attempt to make their way out through the eliminative channels of the colon, lungs and skin. Cleansing will help the body flush out the excess toxins and smooth the transition of the change of seasons. Our "braised red cabbage with currants, apples, and plum vinegar" recipe is a delicious way to start or refresh your food cleanse...</p>
<p><strong>Braised red cabbage with currants, apples, and plum vinegar</strong></p>
<p>½ head red cabbage, chopped<br>
2 tbsp currants<br>
½ apple of your choice, sliced thin<br>
2 tbsp umeboshi plum vinegar<br>
¼ cup filtered water</p>
<p>Braise the red cabbage in water and vinegar in sauté pan until tender. Add the apples and currants at the end and let all ingredients simmer for 2-3 minutes. I am a Restaurant Manager @ PF Changs and I work around 50+ hours a week!<br />
My typical diet consists of at least 2 cups of coffee with a lot of cream and sugar. &nbsp;I try to eat breakfast as often as possible and when I do I normally eat cereal..(cereals like Apple Jacks, Cheerios, ) for lunch I eat whatever is convenient… I love sandwiches, soups, salads, fruits sushi, rice.. I LOVE FOOD and I love to try all kinds of things…I’m very open minded when it comes to food…I recently tried Venezuelan Food and loved it!!! &nbsp;I usually end up stuffing myself at lunch and usually don’t have an appetite for dinner… &nbsp;If there is one thing you need to know .. it is that I LOVE, LOVE anything sweet! &nbsp;I’m definitely a sugar addict!!! &nbsp;I don’t smoke or drink.. my only little vice is sugar<br />
I DO NOT CONSIDER MY DIET HEALTHY. &nbsp;I try but it gets ruined by all the sugar.<br />
Favorite food??? &nbsp;I love anything and everything… I just love anything that has good flavor… I especially love anything sweet like apple cobblers, cupcakes you name it I love it.<br />
Weekly food expense?? $100 bucks??<br />
I just got a membership at LA Fitness and I work out 3 times a week now! &nbsp;I do at least 30 minutes of cardio and about an hour of weights.. I do change it up and try to take classes as well… Working on getting fit!<br />
FOR FUN? &nbsp;I like to hang out with friends and eat out! &nbsp;Thats really all I have time to do… I love to relax at home and watch tv shows I never have time to watch on HULU!<br />

No KIDS, boyfriend only<br />
I get sick hmmmmm… maybe once a year…it’s quite mild when it does occur…<br />
